2021: A Year In Review

January 4, 2022 Bri Jones

As we enter a new year, ‘tis the season for reflecting upon the past year—including accomplishments, achievements, and lessons learned.

For Lev, 2021 has been a year of continued growth and evolution—marking our first full calendar year as part of Cognizant. The past several years have been filled with excitement: adding new Levsters, gaining product expertise (in addition to our Marketing Cloud expertise) in tools like Datorama and Interaction Studio, launching podcasts and newsletters, celebrating innovations, and experiencing exponential growth.

This year, we’ve continued to evolve alongside our customers and partners, navigating our changing world together. We’ve invested in our mission of being the best Salesforce consultancy for marketers in the galaxy, which means gaining more expertise and helping our customers level up with Salesforce—which, in turn, has led to even more growth.

Now, let’s dive into some of our favorite moments of 2021:

We hosted Ultraviolet, our inaugural conference shining a light on Salesforce for marketers.

In April, we hosted our first-ever virtual conference for marketers using Salesforce. With 34 content sessions over two days, we welcomed over 530 marketers, Salesforce users, partners, and Levsters to teach and learn about topics such as Journey Builder, Datorama, maximizing your marketing tech stack, personalization, and so much more.

Attendees called Ultraviolet a “class A virtual conference,” and 94% said they learned things they could apply to their roles immediately.

We had so much fun that we’re doing it all over again in April 2022.

We got CDP-accredited—advancing our mission of helping marketers achieve their goals leveraging the entire Salesforce platform.

We were among the first wave of Salesforce partners to achieve accreditation for Salesforce’s Customer Data Platform (CDP). Salesforce CDP enables marketers to capture, unify, segment, and activate all their customer data. It gives marketers a single source of truth for every customer to help them personalize experiences across marketing, commerce, service, sales, and more.

We launched an end-to-end solution for marketers looking to level up their fan experience.

Whether in-venue or out-of-venue, online or offline, leagues, sports teams (both traditional and esports), and venues have the opportunity to connect with their fans like never before. Enter: Fan DX. We’re proud to partner with many of the top sports and entertainment organizations around the world, and we saw an opportunity to help centralize key business processes and experiences into an integrated Salesforce-powered platform, allowing for highly-engaging employee and fan experiences and hyper-personalization.

We celebrated everyday innovations from our customers and our Levsters.

Innovation is a cornerstone of Lev, and we make it a point to celebrate and share our everyday innovations in a variety of ways.

First, we launched our internal Levie Awards—which reward Levsters for bringing innovative solutions to the table for our customers. Our winners this year included a custom Cloud Page content library solution for a leading US-based healthcare payer, and a custom WhatsApp integration for a global beverage manufacturer.

Second, we partnered with some of our amazing customers to tell the stories of their accomplishments with Salesforce—including American Savings Bank Hawaii, Northstar New Jersey Lottery, International Gaming Technology, GolfNow, Wex, and more.

Last (but certainly not least), we launched a short video series sharing how our customers are using tools like Datorama and Interaction Studio.

#LevLife grew a lot, and gave back to our communities.

Not only did we grow our number of Levsters across the globe by over 60%, we also grew our affinity groups. At Lev, we believe in celebrating everything that makes our Levsters the unique, talented, incredible experts they are. That’s why we established OneLev and our Lev affinity groups; to create a #LevLife of inclusivity, to applaud the uniqueness of those around us, to support our communities, and to assist in creating equal opportunities at all levels.

This year, we added Lev Asians, and continued to host internal celebrations and engagement opportunities for Lev Ladies, Lev Pride, Lev Latinx, and Black Levsters Matter. Through a variety of internal initiatives, we were able to donate nearly $30,000 to organizations that were selected by our affinity groups.

We’re excited for what’s to come in 2022, and hope that you’ll be along for the ride with us. Here are some ways you can keep up with Lev:
